Shibata famous Japanese Camera collector estate, extremely rare 100% original Minolta-16 Automat subminiature camera (prototype) outer metal shell, outer shell only, no camera or camera mechanism, this is the very rare Minolta-16 Automat, made before the much more common Konan-16, Konan was bought by Chiyoda Optical Co, and become the much more common Minolta-16, only a very few of these complete cameras were made and a few outer shell made as a spare, send to America as a sale or trade show samples, Mt. Light surface marks on metal surface. The engraving on the Minolta-16 Automat is much thinner than the regular Konan-16. The Minolta-16 Automat (Prototype) outer shell is a bit thicker than the regular Konan-16.
