Here is a complete GOLD Minolta 16 OUTFIT. This camera has a number of misconception about it. Many people assume, for some unknown reason, that it was the only 16mm camera that Minolta made. Others assume that this was the first 16mm camera that Minolta made. Then others spread rumors that this camera was officially used by the CIA, FBI, KGB, James Bond, Gordon Liddy, etc. All of these theories are wrong. This camera appeared in 1957 and was made until 1960 when it was replaced by the Minolta 16 (model II). It has a 25mm lens with f-stops from f3.5 to f11. It also has three shutter speeds of 1/25, 1/50, and 1/200. The shutter and aperture dials are on the end of the camera -- see photos. It produces 10x14mm images on 16mm film -- it can use single-perforated, double -perforated, or unperforated 16mm film. This camera was the first model in the Minolta 16mm line-up to allow the use of slip-on supplementary filters and lenses (NOT INCLUDED). The camera was available in seven colors -- chrome, black, gold, blue, red, purple/magenta and green. The point of focus for the three element lens was fixed at 15 feet. At f5.6, everything from 7.5 feet to infinity is in focus. The lens depth-of-field was adequate and controllable with the aperture. A bracket to hold an electronic flash and tripod socket was available (INCLUDED). The camera came with a leather case (with built-in slots for two filters) and a wrist strap (INCLUDED). The camera uses a push-pull design to advance the film and protect the camera and lens. This outfit includes TWO Minolta 16 cassettes -- NEW in their original boxes. They come with an instruction sheet and information about reloading the cassettes is included. Also included is a Minolta DuoFit S flash bulb holder with the original case -- see pictures. This takes AG-1 and AG-1B bulbs and uses a #504 battery (NOT INCLUDED). But, in order to fit on the Minolta 16 -- which has a PC socket -- it has to be used with the Minolta 16 flash attachment. This flips and grips around the center of the Minolta 16, and can be used with any flash unit -- cold or hot shoe -- even auto-exposure electronic flash! The holder also has a tripod socket to attach this camera to a tripod (NOT INCLUDED). The camera is in excellent cosmetic -- see pictures -- and mechanical condition. The aperture and shutter speeds work perfectly. The lens is completely clear. In order to get the most out of this outfit, it includes the original Minolta 16 user manual -- AND the 1973 book by Ted Rosenberg, Minolta 16 Guide -- on a CD. This 128 page book cover all of Minolta's 16mm cameras, from this Minolta 16 to the Minolta QT from the 1970's. It covers all of the countless accessories, photographic technique, processing and enlarging -- everything you can imagine to get the best results.
